エレキギター・アコースティック・クラシックギター
1969年にニュージーランドのオークランドより南側のクリーブドンという小さな田舎町で生まれました。幼少よりクラシックギター・クラシックピアノ・チェロを始め、15歳には当時組んだロックバンドで、全国アマチュアバンドコンテストの最終選抜組に入り、同時期にクラシックギターコンテストで優勝者となりました。その後4年間はオークランドのパブやクラブでプロのカバーバンドとしての活動を行い、日本に移住。のちに仙台市内の「カワイ音楽学校」にてクラシックギター・アコースティックギターの講師となりました。3年後にはハリウッドの有名な音楽専門学校「MI」と日本の「ESP」が合併した会社「ESP/MI JAPAN」の仙台支店でGITデラックスコースの専任講師を7年間行い、のちの３年間から現在に至るまで、仙台市内でソロシンガー・ギターリスト・ピアニストとして定期的なパフォーマンス活動、イベントやライブ活動を続けております。
そして2007年4月よりプライベート音楽学校の「GILL MUSIC ACADEMY」を創立し、多くの生徒様より厚い支持を受けております。今後ともどうぞ宜しくお願い申し上げます。
Electric Guitar・Acoustic Guitar・Spanish Guitar
Born in 1969 in the small country town of Clevedon south of Auckland, New Zealand. Richie took up classical guitar, classical piano and cello at an early age and formed a rock band in high school which appeared on the TV show Shazam as a finalist in a national band contest and attained first place in a classical guitar competition at the age of 15. After playing in professional cover bands in the Auckland pub & club scene for four years he moved to Japan where he taught classical, acoustic and electric guitar at Kawai Music School in Sendai City. Three years later when ESP and the famous Musicians Institute in Hollywood amalgamated he was invited to be the chief instructor of the GIT Deluxe course at the Sendai branch of the new ESP/MI Japan where he continued full time for seven years. He left MI in 2004 to work as a solo musician and teach privately. He returned to MI in 2007 before starting the private music school GMA. He continues to perform solo and in bands in the Japanese entertainment scene as a guitarist, keyboardist and singer.
